This Privacy Policy applies only to your use of this site. This site may contain links to other websites. Please note that we have no control over how your data is collected, stored, or used by other websites and we advise you to check the privacy policies of any such websites before providing any data to them.

Personal data is defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (EU Regulation 2016/679) (the “GDPR”) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (collectively, “the Data Protection Legislation”) as ‘any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier’.

We do not collect any special category or sensitive personal data or personal data relating to children data (but Therapist will collect and process such data).

Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital status, title, date of birth and gender.
Contact Data includes billing address, home and/or contact address, email address and telephone numbers.
Financial Data includes bank account and payment card details*.
Transaction Data includes details about payments to and from you and other details of bookings submitted through this site and services listed on and/or requested via this site.
Technical Data includes internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform and other technology on the devices you use to access this site.
Profile Data includes your username and password, profiles, your interests, preferences, feedback and survey responses.
Usage Data includes information about how you use our website and services.
Marketing and Communications Data includes your preferences in receiving marketing from us and our third parties and your communication preferences.

*Financial Data will only be collected where payments have been made directly to us however, for most payments, we use the services of a third party payment service provider, such as PayPal and Stripe.

We will only use your personal data for the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected unless we reasonably believe that another purpose is compatible with that or those original purpose(s) and need to use your personal data for that purpose. 8. Do you share my personal data?

We will not share any of your personal data with any third parties for any purposes, subject to the following exceptions:

  • Carers in respect of the services booked;
  • Where applicable, any third party payment processing agent, Such as Stripe or PayPal. If we use a third party payment processing agent to collect and make payments, their terms and conditions/privacy policy will apply.
  • Service providers acting as processors who provide IT and system administration services.
  • Professional advisers acting as processors or joint controllers including lawyers, bankers, auditors and insurers who provide banking, legal, insurance and accounting services.
  • Third parties to whom we may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of our business or our assets. Alternatively, we may seek to acquire other businesses or merge with them. If a change happens to our business, then the new owners may use your personal data in the same way as set out in this privacy notice.
  • In some limited circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain personal data, which might include yours, if we are involved in legal proceedings or complying with legal obligations, a court order, or the instructions of a government authority.

If any of your personal data is shared with a third party, as described above, we will take steps to ensure that your personal data is handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, our obligations, and the third party’s obligations under the law, as described above in Part 9.

10. How & where do you store/transfer my personal data?

We only store or transfer your personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA).

We share your personal data within Regal Care Services Ltd. This may involve transferring your data outside the European Economic Area.

We may use external third parties based outside the EEA so their processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside the EEA.

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

11. how can i control my personal data?

In addition to your rights under the Data Protection Legislation, set out in Part 5, when you submit personal data via this site, you may be given options to restrict our use of your personal data. You may access certain areas of this site without providing any personal data at all. However, to use all features and functions available on this site you may be required to submit or allow for the collection of certain data.

We may change this Privacy Notice from time to time. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes, or if we change our business in a way that affects personal data protection.

14. how can i access my personal information?

If you want to know what personal data we have about you, you can ask us for details of that personal data and for a copy of it (where any such personal data is held). This is known as a “subject access request”.

All subject access requests should be made in writing and sent to the email or postal addresses shown in Part 2.

There is not normally any charge for a subject access request. If your request is ‘manifestly unfounded or excessive’ (for example, if you make repetitive requests) a fee may be charged to cover our administrative costs in responding.

We will respond to your subject access request within 28 days. Normally, we aim to provide a complete response, including a copy of your personal data within that time. In some cases, however, particularly if your request is more complex, more time may be required up to a maximum of three months from the date we receive your request. You will be kept fully informed of our progress.
